USCIS issued policy guidance on Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. The update provides:

• What applicants should do to change the basis of filing I-751 in cases of waivers based on battery or extreme cruelty.

• I-751 applicants can still be eligible to adjust their status on a new basis even if their conditional residence got terminated for failing to file I-751 timely.
